Classes with Vicki Busch
Title: Introduction to Acting (ages 4-7)
When: Saturdays, 10:30 to 12:00 pm, 6 weeks.
Start Date: October 17th, 2009

Description: In this class, Vicki Busch, owner and director of VICKI BUSCH TALENT a multi service talent and modeling agency located in Danville, California. will, for the younger children, provides a well-rounded introduction to the world of acting. This class mostly utilizes improvisational games, speech and diction exercises and what we call “acting games”, all in an effort to build their confidence for auditioning and performing. Depending on the reading level of the students, we may also try some commercial and film scripts, all in the safety of a very fun and nurturing class environment.
Classes with Bettina Devin
Title: Introduction to Acting (ages 8-12)
When: Saturdays, 12:30 to 2:00 pm, 6 weeks.

Description: In this class, Bettina Devin, award-winning 35-year veteran of stage, screen, and voiceover, most notably her recent role in Chris Columbus' film "Rent" (with principal and lead roles in 4 feature films being released this year), provides a well-rounded introduction to the world of acting. This class combines improvisational games, speech and diction, script analysis, exercises on accessing one's emotions, and a chance to take a crack at actual t.v. and film scripts, all in the safety of a very fun and nurturing class environment.

Title: Voice Over
When: Mondays, 7:00 to 9:00 pm, 6 weeks.

Description: Have you always thought or been told you should do voices for cartoons, games or commercials? Northern California is a serious hub for many of the top animation and voiceover houses in the world including Pixar, ILM, Leapfrog and hundreds more. This class (taught by award-winning 35 year veteran of voiceovers, film, and t.v., Bettina Devin) will introduce you to fundamental acting techniques with a mix of improvisation, speech and diction training, and how-to's of understanding what the writers intended for the final characters' voices. This is a hands-on class, as you'll have the chance to record actual copy from all of the above venues. A great class for anyone who wants to improve their speech in general, whether you are in sales, in the corporate world, teaching, or even a student preparing for college interviews. Your voice is your conduit to better communication and success!

Title: On-Camera Acting for Teens and Adults
When: Wednesdays, 7:00 to 9:00 pm, 6 weeks.

Description: Topics covered will include continuity, eyeline, creating physical activities, how to prepare for a shoot, cold reading on camera, and of course, exercises and practice on accessing one's emotions and learning to be in the moment.
Bettina Devin's Bio
Bettina Devin is best known for her role as “Maureen’s clueless Mom” in the film version of “Rent”. This year she can be seen in principal and lead film roles in the Hitchcockian thriller, "The Confessional", “The Full Picture” (Grand Prize Winner, Rhode Island International Film Festival), and in 2 separate roles in "The Village Barbershop, starring John Ratzenberger (“Cheers”, Cars”, Toy Story”). Other notable roles include the lead in “Little Secrets”,“Grease II” and major network sitcoms. "Film Noir", an animated feature for which she voiced 6 characters, including the leading female character, premiered last year at Cannes. An extremely versatile entertainer, Bettina is also an accomplished singer (whose jazz CD "Dangerous Type" continues to be played across the U.S.), a Voiceover Artist (Disney/Pixar, MGM), and critically acclaimed stage performer, who has been a Guest Artist with the San Francisco Symphony and David Mirisch Productions.
She has been a Celebrity Guest Coach for Grammy Career Day, a Voice and Acting teacher for over 30 years, and has worked with many well-known performers.
In her classes, Bettina teaches technique for all of the above disciplines. Students record and shoot actual T.V., film, and radio scripts. Bettina also produces demo reels for On-camera and Voiceover, essential tools for today’s serious professional actor.
Classes with Pat Scott
Title: Children in the Entertainment Industry What Parents need to know.
When: Sunday, 1:00 to 4:00 pm, 3 hour workshop. Offered once every 4 weeks.
Start Date: October 25th, 2009
Cost: $75 for up to two family members, $25 for additional members. Talent can attend but it is not recommended for under 12 years. Minimum for class 4 families. Prepayment is required.

Description: This class is highly recommended for families of talent signed with Vicki Busch Talent as well as those considering entering the industry.
Pat Scott's Bio
Pat Scott has been involved as a parent in the “industry” for 8 years, supporting her son’s interest and work in various aspects of the acting business. She has spent hours “on the set” with parents, learning by their experiences as well as her own. She has guided, supported and encouraged several parents entering the industry with their children. She is aware of how much there is to learn and hopes this workshop will make the process easier and therefore much more fun!!!
